The Folsom Family Association is a historical and genealogical society, founded in 1909 to honor the immigrant John Foulsham and his wife, Mary Gilman, who came from Hingham England in 1638 to Hingham, MA and later moved to Exeter, NH. Our extensive archives are maintained at the Historical Society in Exeter, NH. They are a repository for Folsom related historical and genealogical data and artifacts.

Membership in the association is limited to those individuals and members of their immediate family who are of direct descent from John and Mary. There are currently over 700 members of the association. Annual reunions are held in different parts of the country each year.

The Association has published four volumes of the Folsom Genealogy . Due to a fire which destroyed most of our inventory, a very limited number of copies remain. The Association has published a number of booklets of a biographical or historical nature, as well. The Association's annual report often contains biographical or historical material and is mailed to many libraries as well as to members. Our newsletter, the Folsom Bulletin is published in May and November. It also is mailed to many libraries as well as to our members.

An annual essay contest for Folsom youth is sponsored by a member of our association.
